Im Sommer ‘08 wurde bei Christina Appelgate Brustkrebs diagnostiziert. Da sich dieser noch in einem sehr fruehen Stadium befand, war er nicht lebensbedrohlich. Appelgate entschied sich angesichts eines genetisch veranlagten erhoehten Brustkrebs-Risiko trotzdem fuer eine beidseitige Entfernung der Brust.

Read this book a couple of years ago… Waris Dirie is such an amazing person. She has one of the strongest and bravest characters ever. I seriously recommend this book to any woman; it teaches you a lot about the ways many people in Africa still deal with their different beliefs as well as their children. A horribly terrifying, yet wonderful story!
